Abstract Presentation Competitionon “Recent Trends in Electronics”
16th October 2026
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, organised an Abstract Presentation Competition on “Recent Trends in Electronics” on 16 October 2026 under the coordination of Prof. Sapna Raghav and Dr.Gyan Prakash (Faculty ECE Dept.). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students from the ECE and ECS branches of the first, second, and third years, providing a platform to explore emerging technological developments and present innovative ideas in electronics and communication engineering.
Focusing on contemporary advancements across diverse technological domains, the competition covered VLSI and semiconductor technologies, antennas, the Internet of Things (IoT), embedded systems, 5G and 6G communication, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensors, and robotics. Participants prepared and delivered their research abstracts through PowerPoint presentations, highlighting innovative concepts, recent developments, and potential applications of emerging technologies in real-world scenarios.
Students demonstrated their understanding of specialised technical concepts while presenting their ideas in a structured and engaging manner. Their presentations reflected an interest in exploring new technological possibilities, analysing current industry trends, identifying potential research areas, and addressing contemporary challenges through creative and research-oriented approaches. The competition also encouraged participants to connect their academic knowledge with practical applications and technological advancements.
Preparing and delivering research abstracts provided students with opportunities to strengthen their technical communication, critical thinking, research aptitude, and presentation skills. The activity encouraged them to organise technical information effectively, communicate complex concepts with clarity, and develop confidence in presenting their ideas before an audience. It also promoted healthy academic competition, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the evolving electronics and communication landscape.
The successful organisation of the competition reflected the department’s commitment to promoting technical awareness, innovation, and research-oriented learning. The event served as a valuable academic initiative, motivating students to explore emerging technologies, develop innovative perspectives, and pursue further learning in the rapidly advancing field of electronics and communication engineering.
