STAND - India 2017

    Fifteen students (forming 5 project groups and 2  students as individual entries) from IT, CSIT and ECS Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering,  Gurgaon participated in STAND - India 2017 competition in April 2017, The result of the competition was announced on 19th July, 2017.
STANDINDIA (Science  and Technologies on Accessible Needs of persons with Disabilities), is a National  Level Competition for Engineering Students on Developing Innovative Concept  Notes on Universal Accessible Design in Built Environment, Accessible  Technologies. It was CBR Network initiative and AICTE not only fully endorses  this noble initiative, but also encourages tech savvy students for developing  concept notes in the areas of universal accessible design in built environment,  accessible technologies, architecture, transportation and any other technology which will aid physically challenged.
In the competition 10  students from IT and CSIT branch of  DCE, Gurgaon got positions.  
2 Students made  it to TOP 5 in individual entries while 3 Projects made it to TOP 10 in group entries of the competition.
Nishi  Singh Parmar and Komal  Yadav of IT Department secured 4th rank in the individual  entries.  
Following 3 projects in the TOP 10 rank in  the competition:
-  Yatin  Maheshwari(17567), Arushi Dogra(17516) and Rishabh Singh Rana(17554)   of IT Department secured 7th rank for the project titled "Root  Finder for Blind Deaf and Dumb".
 
- Arti  Rauthan(17515) and Priyanka Roy (17548) of IT Department secured 10th rank for the  project titled "Cab Booking system for Blind".
 
-  Ujjwal  Choudhary(17940) Udbhav Sharma(17939) and Sakshi Batra of CSIT Department secured 10th rank  for the project titled "Cab Booking system for Blind".
 
 
  Each  one of them got appreciation certificate from the 
STAND INDIA.
