E-Mobility (Electric Solar Vehicle Design and Development)

Mrs. Dimple Saproo (RDC, Head) from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended one day Expert talk on Electrical Solar Vehicle Design and Development organized by the Imperial Society of Innovation Engineers, INDIA (ISIEINDIA) at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi on 8th July 2017. The Objective of the talk was to highlight the benefits & Implementation of non-conventional sources of power especially in the automobile sector, in accordance with Government of India’s plan to switch the Indian automobile sector to Electric Vehicles by 2030.
The talk was attended by over 250 participants that included Students, Faculties, Industrial Experts from different parts of India. The event provided the platform for young engineering college’s students & faculty members towards Green Mobility technological advancement and development.
The event was initiated by Mr. Vinod Gupta (President of ISIEINDIA) with a brief introduction about ISIEINDIA and shared the videos of various competitions conducted by them. The event was followed by felicitation of Chief Guest Mr. Bharat Bhargava (DG ONGC Energy Centre), Special Guest Mr. S.K Jagwani (Director AFSTP & Biofuels, MNRE), Dr. Dianu Das Co-founder Luxury Ride (Guest of Honor) by the President of ISIEINDIA.
Mr. S K Jagwani (Director AFSTP & Biofuels, MNRE, Govt. of India) commenced the talk and highlighted the schemes introduced by the Govt. of India to promote use of renewable energy in the country. He also motivated the students to come forward & join the drive to harness the renewable technology.
Mr.Dhianu Das (Guest of Honor) commenced the talk by throwing light on Hybrid Vehicles. He also emphasized on the differences that would be made to the society once we switch to the solar/ electric/hybrid vehicles.The speeches were followed by the openingceremony of the Asia Biggest solar Car Event Electrical Solar Vehicle Championship [ESVC 2018].
During the key-note address Mr. Bhargav discussed the challenges regarding implementation of the solar technology in India. He emphasized on the need to switch towards renewable technology.
Mr. Sumit Aneja ( CEO Speedways Electric) and Mrs. Simran Kaur ( Sales Head, Speedways Electric), discussed the advantages and applications of E-Mobility.
Next session was taken by Mr. H.K Agarwal, Project Executive ISTE where he explained the Electric Bus technology in India and other aspect related to the Electrical Vehicles. Mr. Joti Prasad Shete (Project Executive at L&T Services) gave a detailed session on Hybrid Vehicles and its types, working of the Hybrid Electrical vehicles.
The event concluded by a vote of thanks by Mr. Vinod Kumar (Founder & President, ISIEINDIA to all faculty members, student volunteers, Industry Experts and the event organizers.
