MIMAMSA QUIZ COMPETION 2018

6 teams from 1st year and one team from EEE and ECE Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in MIMAMSA Quiz organized by IISER Pune at Miranda House, New Delhi on 6th January 2018.
Mimamsa was conceptualized and founded by Dr. Sutirth Dey - a faculty member in the Biology Department at IISER Pune. The underlying philosophy behind the quiz lies in putting forth arguments and counter-arguments; to arrive at an answer based on deduction and logic, and to debate upon the answers given by other teams.
The students faced a descriptive test first. The test consists of four subjects, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology.
There was seven application based questions in each subject followed by a tiebreaker question which was having the highest marks among all seven. There was also a short interview held by the Mimamsa group with the students in order to interact with them.
Mimamsa group have given the participation certificates to all the students participating in the event.
The quiz played a crucial role in building the confidence and logical skills of the students and has also provided the insight to face competition at various levels.
