Lecture Series: Innovation, IPR & Startup

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized the first session of lecture series "Innovation, IPR & Startup", under the umbrella of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), MHRD, Govt. of India on 20th February 2020 at college campus. The speaker of the session was Mr. Prabhat Kumar Jha, DGM (Retd.), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. Faculty members along with 247 students from CSE, IT, ECE, ME Department attended the session.
Mr. Jha discussed various opportunity identifications such as Entrepreneurship Background & Investigation, Educational Qualification & Experience, Location, and availability of Raw Materials, Market Potential, Technology & Equipment, Infrastructural Requirements, Government Policy, Availability of Skilled Manpower and Pollution Control Laws.
Mr. Prabhat Kumar Jha explained the students, Innovation is a primary source of competitive advantage for companies, environments and drives efficiency, productivity, and differentiation to fill a higher variety of needs and technology builds upon itself, enabling innovative approaches within the evolution of technology.
Mr. Jha also discussed in detail "IPR & Technology Transfer". He discussed on filing of patents, copyrights, trademarks, service marks, industrial designs, integrated circuits, geographical indications, trade secrets. He also discussed several initiatives of Govt. towards bringing up the new ideas from people and patenting it.
In the end there was a question and answer session where students cleared their doubts.
