Inauguration of "Center of Excellence for Women Empowerment"

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in collaboration with ICT Academy and Honeywell conducted an Inaugural program of “Center of Excellence for Women Empowerment” on 7^th August, 2023. 50 final year girl students and 20 faculty members attended the Inauguration program.

The program was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Isha Malhotra (Principal, DCE) and Prof. Pooja Ahlawat (ICT Representative, DCE). Prof. Pooja Ahlawat welcomed the students and Chief Guests Mr. Divyansh Chauhan (Airtel Pvt. Ltd.) and Mr.  Subham Verma (State Head of ICT Academy)

Mr. Divyansh took charge of the dais and expressed his viewpoints on current trends and requirement of up skilling in the IT industry. He also made the students aware of training on Cloud; special IT Skill to be learnt for better career and build a better life. Then, Ms. Pooja Lalan (Special Delegate from ICT Academy) gave brief of the 100 hour training schedule to the students and how Honeywell is committed to educating the younger generation with the right knowledge, especially in STEM Programs.

Later, Prof. (Dr.) Isha Malhotra (Principal, DCE) felicitated the Chief Guests and in her address to the students stated that the ICT Academy strives to develop a sustainable skill ecosystem by collaborating with corporates, government, and academia.

Vote of Thanks was proposed by Prof. (Dr.) B M K Prasad (Director, DCE) and also motivated students about Women Empowerment and the need for digital technology.
