Webinar Session on Node JS

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in association with InternNexus organized a webinar session on "Node JS" on 7th May 2020 conducted by Mr. Piyush Pandey. 60 students along with host members from CSE and CSIT attended the webinar session.
Mr. Piyush Pandey started the session and emphasized the role of Node.JS (Back-End Development) in the field of Web Development such as Building Block, Events Loop.
Next he discussed the following topics of Node.JS in Web Development
- Node.js Introduction.
- Node.js Modules.
- Node.js HTTP Module.
- Node.js Building Blocks.
- Node.js Events Loop.
- How you can start a new project.
Mr. Piyush gave introduction of NodeJS. He told
- Node.js is an open source server environment.
- Node.js is free
- Node.js runs on various platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, etc.)
- Node.js uses JavaScript on the server.
- Node.js eliminates the waiting, and simply continues with the next request.
- Node.js runs single-threaded, non-blocking, asynchronous programming, which is very memory efficient.
Next he discussed the events in Node.js like
- Node.js has a built-in module, called "Events", where you can create-,
fire-, and listen for- your own events.
- Node.js are perfect for event-driven applications.
- Every action on a computer is an event. Like when a connection is made
or a file is opened.
- Objects in Node.js can fire events, like the readStream object fires events
when opening and closing a file.
Mr.Piyush Pandey also talked about the Visual code Editor and how to use it.
He delivered a wonderful webinar session on Node JS. The session was responsive and beneficial for all students.
