Workshop on "Importance of Goal Setting for Emerging Young Entrepreneurs"

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), in collaboration with the Success Skill Academy of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram, conducted a workshop titled “Importance of Goal Setting for Emerging Young Entrepreneurs” on 25th and 26th November 2021. A total of 62 students participated in the workshop, which featured Capt. ManjulaKatoch (Founder of Success Skill Academy) as the keynote speaker. Her insights left a lasting impression on the attendees.
The workshop commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Renu Dua, Training and Placement Head, who introduced Capt. Manjula and presented her with a sapling as a gesture of gratitude.
Capt. Manjula began the session by discussing the significance of entrepreneurship and its impact on national economic development. She shared motivational stories of Indian entrepreneurs and highlighted various government funding schemes available for startups. Encouraging students to explore entrepreneurial opportunities, she urged them to take initiative in pursuing their ambitions.
A major highlight of the session was Capt. Manjula’s emphasis on goal setting as a foundational element of entrepreneurial success. She outlined how having clear and specific goals helps in maintaining direction, tracking progress, and staying motivated. She recommended that students visualize and creatively represent their goals to enhance clarity and focus. Stressing the importance of goal-oriented thinking, she explained that individuals with well-defined goals are more likely to succeed.
The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students eagerly engaged with Capt. Manjula. The participants found the session highly insightful and provided positive feedback on its practicality and motivational value
