The team Eagle_Eye of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram reached the finale of SIH 2022 after clearing the 2 rounds of evaluation. One was the Internal hackathon and 2nd was the Idea nomination in which the ideas were evaluated by experts. 06 students and two mentors Prof. Renu and Dr. Ashima Mehta were part of the team Eagle_Eye. MIT Aurangabad was the nodal centre.
A total of 26 teams across the country having 156 participants were there to search for scientific solutions to fix problems in their 36 hours of continuous hackathon sitting in the two-day mega event. The two-day grand finale of the software part of Smart India Hackathon (SIH) commenced at the central library building of MIT Aurangabad.
After the Local and the central Inauguration on 25th August the coding journey of 36 hours started. After 2 hours, mentor gave some suggestions on the project for the improvement purpose. After first mentor round, jury round was there for the first evaluation. The Jury comprised of disaster management, Senior Fellow (Faculty), Coordinator, Fellow (Faculty).In total there were 2 Mentor/ Training session and 3 Evaluation round. Dr. Bhakti – Nodal Centre Head also continuously helping the students with their problems and also making some announcements related to the rounds. Student volunteers of MIT Aurangabad were also there for guidance. On 26th August in the evening results were announced. The team couldn’t make it to the winner but overall, it was a great learning experience.
