One Day Faculty Development Programme on “Virtual Lab”
On 21 July 2016, Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a One day Faculty Development Program on “Virtual lab” in association with IIT, Delhi. Thirty Two faculty members from various branches attended the program. Mr. Tanmay Das, Incharge Outreach, Virtual lab IIT Delhi was the guest of honour. Mr. Das and his three team members Mr Ashish, Mr Ashwin and Mr Prateek, were welcomed by the Hon’ble Principal Dr. Karanjit Singh.
The main aim of conducting the FDP was to share the platform and usage of virtual lab portal. The facility of virtual lab is provided by Ministry of Human Resources & Development, Government of India under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology to enhance the knowledge and skills of students as well as faculty members of various branches related to engineering.
Mrs. Dimple Saproo, Nodal Coordinator of Virtual lab (DCE, GGN) shared her words of appreciation towards IIT Delhifor recognizing the efforts. She also encouraged the faculty members to utilize this facility. Mr. Tanmay Das and his team members demonstrated all related labs of each branch and also hands on practice session was given to faculty members.
Mr. Prateek explained the usage of Virtual Lab experiments in various modes. He also demonstrated the usage of some basic electronics labs. This was followed by a one hour hands on practice session for the faculty members in the computer lab.
In the concluding session the Hon’ble Principal Dr. Karanjit Singh reiterated the importance of performance of Virtual Lab experiments. As a token of remembrance and reverence he also presented souvenirs to the IIT team and College memento to the guest of honour.
