Five Day Short Term Course on "OPPORTUNITY Identification And
Project Formulation In Service Sector"

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon conducted five day short term course on "Opportunity Identification And Project Formulation in Service Sector" under the National Mission On Education Though ICT (NMEICT) in collaboration with NITTTR, Chandigarh from 13th -17th May 2019. 22 faculty members of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the short term course. The STC was coordinated by Mr. Krishanu Kundu (Asst. Prof, Dronacharya college of Engineering, Gurgaon).
The objective of the STC was to make faculty development more research oriented.

The inauguration was held in presence of Prof. (Dr.) S K Dhameja, Professor& Dean (Academic & International Affairs) NITTTR Chandigarh. 8 institutes from all over India participated in the short term course. Prof. (Dr.) Dhameja initiated the short term course by explaining "Blue Ocean Strategy for entrepreneurship promotion in Technical Education". Intellectual Property Rights was discussed in detail by Er. Amardev Singh, Assistant Professor, EDIC Dept.
14th May 2019
Prof. (Dr.) S K Dhameja discussed "Applications of Opportunity Scanning & Product Identification". Later on "Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Service Sector" was thoroughly discussed by Dr. Balbir Singh, Ex-Vice Chairman, NITCON, Chandigarh. Entrepreneurial opportunity Identification: Case Study of an Entrepreneur was topic of discussion after break.

Dr. Yash Pal Taneja, Associate Professor, Dept. Of Commerce & Management, SD College, Chandigarh discussed "Basics of Financial Management. Soft Skills for Entrepreneurs" Mr. Hitesh Gulati, discussed "Change and Organizational Development Consultant, Diversity Ace Business Consulting, Zirakpur".
16th May 2019
Session started with discussion on "Project Formulation" followed by discussion on "Facilities & Incentives to Entrepreneurs from different agencies".
17th May 2019
Dr. Gunmala Suri, Professor, University Business School, Punjab University, Chandigarh discussed "Knowledge Management for Start-ups".
Then, the valediction session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) S.K Dhameja. Attendees and chief guests at all the remote centers shared their experience of the STC. Dr. B. M. K. Prasad, Principal, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon thanked and congratulated all the dignitaries from NITTTR and participants from all centers and expressed his gratitude to the chief guests.
Overall the STC proved to be very fruitful for the participants.
