Adventurous Trip to Kasol & Jibhi
26th - 30th April 2025
Tourism Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized a trip to Kasol and Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh from 26th April to 30th April 2025. Sixth Semester, CSE Department students along with faculty members Mr. Yashwardhan Soni and Ms. Renu Narwal went for the adventurous trip.
Day 1: 26th April, 2025
The students assembled at the college campus and the buses revved up and so did the spirits of the youngsters. The first stop was the Utsav Dhaba, where midnight hunger met stretching legs. Then came Haveli, and finally a Himachal breakfast stop as the mountains welcomed all with a breath of fresh pine air.
Day 2: 27th April, 2025
During afternoon hours, all reached the hotel at Kasol—a tucked-away riverside wonder nestled between snowy peaks and whispering waters. At 4 PM, students laced up their shoes and headed for their first trek. The 2km trail was steep but every turn revealed something unreal— hidden waterfalls, sun-dappled trees, and that fresh Himachal scent.
Back at the hotel, a cozy dinner under warm fairy lights was followed by a bonfire DJ night. Teachers and students together set the vibe high.
Day 3: 28th April, 2025
During the morning, all had warm breakfast and played chess, Jenga, and Carrom. After a memorable group picture, all hit the road again. First stop: Manikaran Gurudwara & Shiv Mandir. The blessings, hot springs, and serenity calmed everyone. After a quick lunch break, everyone drove toward Jibhi with mountains flanking every turn.
By evening, all reached the second hotel and—without skipping a beat—embarked on a thrilling trek to a waterfall after a trek of 2.5 km consisting narrow paths and deadly cliffs. Afterwards, everyone returned to the hotel and freshened up, ate the dinner, and boom—another bonfire with a twist: Musical Chair.
29th April, 2025
Post breakfast, everyone hopped into the buses until the road stopped towards Raghupur Fort situated 12,000 feet above sea level. All started for the 6 km trek through mystical forest trails, walking, slipping, laughing, panting—and finally reaching the Raghupur Fort.
The descent was no less thrilling followed with the awesome shopping experience. Back at the hotel, everyone played pranks and played games that made the night feel like a teen movie.
30th April, 2025 – A Bittersweet Goodbye
Waking up to the last mountain morning, everyone checked out with heavy hearts. But the day still had adventures to offer. First, all stopped at the Jibhi waterfall—lush, green, and picture-perfect. Then came Mini Thailand where students actually dove into that icy stream, laughed, swam, and froze like happy maniacs. The final stretch included some local shopping and street food.
