Dr. Jyoti Anand Assistant Professor, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended and presented the paper in four days International Conference on “Emerging Innovation in Statistics & Operations Research" (EISOR-2018) conjunction with 38th Annual Convention of Indian Society for Reliability and Statistics (ISPS) and fourth convention of Indian Association for Reliability and Statistics was held at Department of Statistics, M.D. University from 27th - 30th December, 2018.
Day 1 (27th December, 2018)
The inaugural ceremony of International Conference started with the keynote address by the chief guest of the program Prof. Bijender K. Punia, Vice Chancellor, M.D. University, Rohtak and Guest of honor Mr. Rajesh Jain, MD LPS Brossard welcomed all the member of organizing committee, delegates & scholars who participated in the conference and all other prominent persons who have expertise in their fields.
Professor (Dr.) S.C Malik (HOD, Department of Statistics, M.D University) briefed the theme of the four days International Conference with inspiring and motivational words for researcher's students and all dignities presented at the inaugural ceremony.
After the inaugural function Plenary sessions started at IHTM. Prof. Sat Gupta (USA), Department of Mathematics and Statistics, University of North Carolina-Greensboro gave his lecture on "Respondent Privacy, Data Security and Estimation Quality in Sample Surveys" and Prof. S. Rao Jammalamadaka (USA), University of California, Santa Barbara delivered his lecture on entitled "Generalized Spacing Estimators”. Above session was chaired by Prof. K. Muralidharan, Department of Statistics, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadaodara, Gujrat.
Next talk was given by Prof. K.S Rao, Department of Statistics, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on the topic "Why Humans are so Dominate?" and Prof. Neeraj Mishra, Department of Mathematics, G.J. University of SCIENCE & Technology, Hissar, delivered his lecture on the topic "Applications of TP2/RR2 Functions in Probability and Statistics; A Review of some key Results" and session was chaired by Prof. Amar Nath Gill, Department of Statistics, Punjabi University, Chandigarh.
Prof. G.C Tikkiwal, Ex. Dean Science Family, Manipal University Jaipur & JNU University, Jodhpur delivered his lecture on the topic "The Place of Statistics in University Revisited in the context of Indian University and Prof. D.S Hooda, Jaypee Institute of Engineering & Technology delivered his talk on the topic" Generalized Residual Entropy in Survival Analysis and session was chaired by Prof. Muralidharan, Depatment of Statistics, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadaodara, Gujrat.
Invited session started at boardroom IHTM by Prof. Vyas Dubey, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (C.G.) on the topic “Efficiency Comparison of some General Eyes Estimator” and contributory papers were presented by research scholars and participants. Above Technical session was chaired by Prof. Amar Nath Gill, Department of Statistics, Punjab University, Chadigardh.
Day 2 (28th December, 2018)
In the technical sessions students and research scholars presented their research papers. Dr. Jyoti Anand also presented her research paper entitled “Availability & Profit Analysis of a Computer System with Independent H/W and S/W Up-Gradation under Server Vacation”. The objective of the paper is to analyze the system reliability models and causes of failures, failure rate and repair rates of the processes which can be collected by getting primary and secondary data of repair and failure of h/w and s/w companies. Session was chaired by Professor R. K Bhardwaj, Department of Statistics, Punjabi University Patiala. Invited talk, contributory papers were presented by research scholars and participants.
Day 3 (29th December, 2018)
Third day session started with invited talk given by Professor Sanjeev K Tomar, Department of Statistics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India on the topic “Robust Best Base and Analysis of Lifetime Data Under Competing Risk Model” and Prof. M.S Panwar, Department of Statistics, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India on the topic entitled “Risk analysis of data from Maxwell distribution” and chaired by Professor Irfan Ali, Department of Statistics & Operation Research, Aligarh Muslim University, India.
Dr Veena Sharma, Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Himanchal Pradesh University, Shimla delivered her lecture on the topic entitled “Adopted Cluster Sampling for Negativity Correlated Variables”, Prof. Hare Krishana, Deptt. of Statistics, Ch. Charan Singh University, Meerut on the topic “Random Censoring with Different Survival and Censoring Time Distributions” and chaired the above session by Prof. D.S Hooda, Jaypee Institute of Engineering & Technology. After the invited talk, contributory papers were presented by research scholars and participants in IHTM building and Department of Statistics
Day 4 (30th December, 2018)
Contributory papers were presented by research scholars and participants as per their scheduled and chaired by various dignities. Dr. Jyoti Anand chaired one of the technical session on “Reliability Modeling”.
After end of all technical sessions, the validity function started in the presence of keynote speakers, participants, guest of honour “Mr. Dharamveer Singh” Politicians and Member of Parliament the 16th Lok Sabha from Bhiwani Mahandergarh. Validity function wended with the brief closing speech given by Professor M.S Khadiyan, Department of Statistics & Operations Research, Kurukshetra University.
