AICTE IDEA Lab Fest Exhibition

Eight students from Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), CSE - Internet of Things and Electronics and Computer Science along with Dr. Ashima Sharma (Faculty, DCE) and Ms. Jyoti Yadav (Faculty, DCE) attended the "AICTE IDEA Lab Fest Exhibition" at the AICTE Headquarters in New Delhi on 7th March 2025. The event served as an excellent platform to explore and showcase innovative projects integrating advanced engineering concepts and emerging technologies. The primary objective of the visit was to expose students to cutting-edge developments and encourage them to conceptualize and implement their own ideas for future projects.
A diverse range of innovative projects were exhibited, each offering solutions to real-world challenges. Some notable projects included:
1. Face Recognition Camera using Long-Range Wireless Technology
- Operateswithout internet connectivity
- Hasa range of up to 20 km
2. A4 Kiosk Printer
- Integratedwith a QR scanner
- Studentsupload documents via a website and make online payments
- QR codeverification at the printer for document retrieval
3. Decorative Table with Sensor-Based Lighting
- Lightsup only in the area where an object is placed
4. Small PCB Soldering and De-soldering Device
- Providesan efficient solution for PCB assembly and repair
5. 3D Printed Prosthetic Arm
- Embeddedwith a controller and motor for movement assistance
6. Underwater Rescue Submarine
- Identifiessubmerged objects during floods
- Facilitatesrescue operations through real-time data transmission
7. Infrared Vein Detector Machine
- Assistsin locating veins for medical examinations, especially for small children and elderly patients
8. Pollutant-to-Ink Conversion Project
- Convertsgas pollutants like CO2 and SO2 into usable pen ink
9. Plastic Waste Recycling for 3D Printing
- ConvertsPET plastic bottles into 3D printing filaments
10. Automatic Floor Cleaner with IoT Integration
- Embeddedwith IoT for enhanced automation and efficiency
The AICTE IDEA Lab Fest Exhibition provided an enriching experience by highlighting technological advancements and sustainable innovations. The projects displayed at the exhibition emphasized problem-solving through creative engineering approaches.
Benefits/Outcome: The participation of faculty and students facilitated knowledge exchange, networking, and exposure to industry- relevant innovations. Interacting with industry experts and innovators also inspired students to think critically and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges. By attending this exhibition, students were encouraged to think beyond textbooks, explore interdisciplinary applications, and conceptualize their own projects with potential real-world impact.
