Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized an “Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program” on 17th December, 2024 for the students of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Farrukhnagar. Prof. Dr. Sakshi Gupta was the In-charge of the program. The resource persons of the program were Prof. Anita Chaudhary and Prof. Neha Dhaiya. The event aimed to foster technical knowledge and innovation among students. Approximately 50 students and 2 faculty members attended the program.
The program began with the welcome address by Prof. Dr. Sakshi Gupta followed by the session on Database Management Systems (DBMS) conducted by Prof. Anita Chaudhary, where students gained insights into the fundamentals and applications of database systems.
After the first session, the students were given a guided tour of the Dronacharya College of Engineering. They explored the various facilities, including laboratories, classrooms, the library, and innovation centers. The visit allowed students to experience the vibrant academic environment and advanced infrastructure of the college.
Following the campus visit, the second session was conducted on Software Engineering delivered by Prof. Neha Dhaiya, which covered key concepts and real-world applications of software design and development.
Both sessions were interactive, engaging, and provided a deeper understanding of the respective subjects. Students actively participated, asked questions, and clarified their doubts, making the sessions lively and productive.
To add a fun and competitive edge to the program, a quiz was organized, testing the knowledge gained during the sessions. The students participated with great enthusiasm. Prizes were distributed to the winners, which motivated all participants to engage further.
At the end of the program, feedback was collected from the students. The responses were overwhelmingly positive, with students expressing their appreciation for the sessions and the interactive activities.
Benefits/Outcome: Students understood the concepts and application of DBMS.
