Vigilance Awareness Week

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram observed “Vigilance Awareness Week” (VAW) on 31st October – 6th November, 2022.The theme for this year's Vigilance Awareness Week was "Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation". Following the theme, the college endeavors to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability for each stakeholder. In all 270 students, 15 faculty members and non-teaching staff participated in the pledge.
The purpose of Vigilance Awareness Week was to bring awareness about the harsh effects of corruption in public at large. The observance of VAW commenced with administering vigilance pledge by students and faculty members.
Prof. Hansraj Yadav (Registrar) notifies students and faculty members through his enlightened speech the meaning of vigilance as the state of being alert for some kind of trouble and the repercussions of corruption activities. He gave a brief of different forms of corruption and practices for diminishing corruption, the workings of Central Vigilance Commission and legal aspects of corruption. He encouraged all stakeholders to cooperatively participate in the deterrence of and fight against corruption and to raise public awareness regarding the causes and seriousness of and the threat posed by corruption.
It was an enlightened day as students understood the roles, duties and responsibilities to eradicate the ill effects of corruption and to achieve corruption free India.
