Visit to "India Mobile Congress (IMC)"

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), Ministry of Education (MoE) Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized an educational trip to “India Mobile Congress” at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi on 1st October, 2022, 85 students of 2nd and 3rd year from ECE/EEE/ECZ/CSIT/IT/CSE along with 2 faculty members Dr. R. Dheivanai, and Prof. Bhumika Chugh visited 5G technology exhibition.
The India Mobile Congress (IMC) was organized by the company Mobipro Innovation Pvt. Ltd. It is the biggest telecom, media, and technology forum in Asia. It is jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). IMC, since its beginning, established itself as a premier venue for bringing together business, government, academia, and other participants in the ecosystem to discuss, ponder, show, and exhibit the most recent developments in the fields of TMT and ICT. The India Mobile Congress is not only the largest technology event in Asia, but it is also the largest networking event in India that is focused on the technological sector.
IMC also features India's largest technology expo, which serves as a base for technological demonstrations and attracts participation of thought leaders from all over the world. Additionally, IMC continues to grow from strength to strength year after year. The 5G technology was officially launched in India on October 1, 2022, at the India Mobile Congress conclave, which was presided over by the Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
Students have had the opportunity to visit the exhibition area inside the IMC. There, well-known firms like as JIO, Airtel, Qualcomm, Precision Electronics Limited, Ericsson, and a great number of others displayed their most recent innovations based on 5G technology. At the event, several different firms displayed cutting-edge technology such as 5G, artificial intelligence, augmented reality and virtual reality, cloud, edge, the internet of things (IoT), robots, and others.
During the visit, the students had an opportunity to learn about the most recent technological advancements, particularly the applications of 5G technology.
