Microsoft Imagine Camp

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram in association with InfiSpark Services Pvt. Ltd. conducted an online “Microsoft Imagine Camp” on 19^th December, 2022. 156 students of CSE, CSIT, IT, ECE streams and 4 faculty members participated in the workshop. Three experts, one from Microsoft Education and other two others from infiSpark conducted the Imagine Camp: Ms. Nivedita Sharma (Solution Specialist at Microsoft Education), Ms. Osheen Chauvhan  (Founder & CEO, InfiSpark), and Ms. Chelana Jain  (Program Manager at InfiSpark).

The camp aimed at making students aware of imagine cup and bringing together student developers worldwide to help resolve some of the world's toughest challenges.

Ms. Nivedita Sharma briefed Microsoft Imagine Cup. She explained, how it can help students to join globally and how they can access curated training and mentorship with Microsoft professionals through the imagine cup. She explained how imagine cup can make students build new tech skills for their career portfolio.

Next, Ms. Osheen, discussed the registration & participation process of imagine cup. She also told about the competition timelines. She explained the concept behind imagine cup. She explained in detail the project submission guidelines and pro tips about what one should take care of while choosing team members and team names and what are the do’s and don’ts while registering and participating in the competition. She also shared her past Imagine Cup experience.

Afterwards, Ms. Chelana shared the journey & process of getting the MS Certifications. She also explained to students the type and domain of problem statements they can work on. She also discussed the technology that could be used & impact of the project. She also gave an overview of the IC themes and also discussed the past winning projects like Hollo and at the end she did a brainstorming session where students shared their project ideas with her.

Students of Dronacharya College of Engineering extracted a lot of valuable information from the session.
