Session on "How to Improve Working Memory"

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram organized an insightful session on "How to Improve Working Memory" on 6th December 2021. The session was attended by 33 faculty members and 10 non-teaching staff, with the objective of enhancing cognitive abilities and improving memory retention techniques for better productivity and performance.
The resource person Ms. Vidya Basarkod (Representative from Ramboll India) provided an in-depth understanding of working memory, its role in daily tasks, and strategies to strengthen it. Topics covered included memory enhancement techniques, the impact of stress on cognitive functions, and practical exercises to boost concentration and recall. Participants engaged in interactive exercises designed to test and improve their short-term and long-term memory capabilities.
The session highlighted the importance of a healthy lifestyle, mindfulness, and structured routines in enhancing working memory. Faculty members and staff learned practical tools such as chunking, visualization, and association techniques to better manage information processing and recall in their professional roles. The session concluded with an engaging discussion where participants shared their challenges and received expert advice on overcoming memory-related difficulties. The event reinforced the institution's dedication to continuous professional development and personal growth, empowering staff to perform their duties more effectively and efficiently.
