Tech for Good, Ideas for India
An event “Tech for Good, Ideas for India” was organized by Microsoft India, on 30th May 2016 in the Seminar Hall, Taj Palace, New Delhi.
Four Students namely Nishant Kumar (17096), Lokesh Pandey (17074), Saket Kumar (17121) and Vikash Kumar (17170) from Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaonattended the event.
The event started with the opening address by Mr. Bhaskar Pranik, Chairman,Microsoft India in which he welcomed attendee.
Mr. Satya Nadella CEO, Microsoft feels immense pleasure to be in India so he wanted to share his own perspective to all the young entrepreneurs who are changing the world, changing the landscape of India. He encouraged youngsters in the audience to be bold and ambitious through some famous lines of Mirza Ghalib.
There were presentations on technical ideas where he talked about “how technology speeds up the culture of innovation to solve real world problems and driving India’s transformation”.
Mr. Nadella with a dream of empower India said,” It is not about celebrating our own technology; it is about celebrating the technology that India creates.” Mr.Nadella while delivering the keynote address said that its creativity that we want to ignite. He told that he love the phrase “When you change the way you see the world, you change the world you see “as he want to invoke ambition of young entrepreneurs of how they are going to change the world.
Next, the guest speaker Shri Jayant Sinha (Minister of State for Finance) also enlightened the audience with a few words on ‘Technology as a platform of growth for India’. He explained, if one innovates for India in India, he is going to innovate the world and then India can become an entrepreneurial engine like other developed countries. Followed by the speech, there is a question and answer session.
In the end, closing remarks were delivered by Mr. Narendra Bhandri , General Manager, Developer Experience Evangelism, Microsoft India.
After attending the session, participants became enthusiastic towards their goal and gained positive attitude to achieve the same.
