Industrial Visit to Joyson Anand Abhishek Safety Systems Pvt. Ltd.

Electronics and Communication Engineering Department in association with IEEE Student Branch, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram visited “Joyson Anand Abhishek Safety Systems Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram” on 4th December 2024. The visit was organized under the mentorship of Prof. Dimple Saproo (Faculty, DCE). Students were accompanied with Faculty Leads: Prof. Kanika Lamba, Dr. Ashima Sharma and Dr. Gyan Prakash.
The industrial visit aimed to provide students of ECE and EEE departments with an understanding of the advanced safety solutions in the automobile industry. The visit focused on gaining insights into the processes and technologies used for ensuring vehicle and occupant safety.
Joyson Anand Abhishek Safety Systems Pvt. Ltd. is a leading safety solutions company specializing in automobile safety components. It is part of the Joyson Group, which operates 62 plants across 25 countries. The company manufactures critical safety components such as Steering wheels, Seat belts, Airbags, Child safety parts and Rear seat belts. It’s R&D centre of the company in India is considered one of the best in the country, ensuring precision and innovation in safety measures for cars and their occupants. The company supplies parts to major automobile brands like Kia, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Bajaj.
Mr. Chandresh Chutani (Quality Head) was the Key spokesperson and event coordinator. The Joyson team delivered a comprehensive seminar and presentation, explaining their manufacturing processes, quality control measures, and safety innovations. The presentation for briefing the company’s policies and vision and an overview of Joyson Anand Abhishek Safety Systems' global operations was outlined by Ms. Pallavi Chhabra (HR Head) and the presentation depicting the manufacturing processes were given by Plant Head and Production Head.
Students got the opportunity to understand the importance of precision in safety equipment manufacturing, technological advancements in automobile safety systems, Quality assurance and R&D processes and the strategies to collaborate with global automobile brands. Students also learnt the role of safety solutions in modern automobiles and exposure to the manufacturing and quality assurance processes for critical safety components. They also got the insights into career opportunities in the automobile safety industry.
Benefit/Outcome: The event was a significant learning experience, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices.
