Priyanshu Aggarwal (Team Leader), Deepanshu Kandwal, Krish Kapoor, Megha, Lakshit and Yuvraj Kumar under the mentorship of Dr. Ritu Pahwa and Ms. Pankaj Kumari participated in the Smart India Hackathon 2024 at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore.
The project FUSION AI: A cloud-based AI model automating Feature Extraction for Rural Transformation {SIH 1705: Problem statement of Ministry of Panchayati Raj (Software Domain)} focussed on developing a cloud-based AI model to automate feature identification and extraction from drone imagery with 95% accuracy. Key features included identifying building footprints, roads, pathways, and water bodies. The system enhances decision-making efficiency, particularly in rural development projects, by processing images faster than manual methods, scaling across multiple villages, and supporting applications like property tax assessments and dispute resolution. The project was designed to transform rural management by reducing costs, improving accuracy, and accelerating project timelines.
Benefits/Outcome: The journey taught the team resilience, teamwork, and how to push the boundaries of their creativity under pressure. The invaluable takeaways that truly make team feel victorious.
