FIA “Best Engineering Project Competition 2018”

The project made and presented by Rashi Sharma and Dona Paul from 8th Semester of ECS branch under the guidance of Mrs. Neha Verma (Assistant Professor) of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon bagged 2nd position in Best Engineering Project Competition 2018 organised by Faridabad Industries Association (FIA) -2018.
Faridabad Industries Association (FIA) organized the engineering project competition "The Young Entrepreneurs Panel" on 21st April 2018 at the FIA Headquarters, Faridabad. The competition was started in the year 2005 to provide a platform for final year engineering students to showcase their projects and compete with various Colleges from NCR region.
The first phase of the competition consisted of the various colleges sending in their best projects under these categories which are then shortlisted and judged by industry experts on the basis of innovation, feasibility, cost, idea and scope of the project. The following projects from DCE, Gurgaon were selected for the presentation round held on 21st April 2018.
Electronics and Communication Engineering:
- Economical Smart Wheelchair with Healthcare Monitoring.
- Enable the Disabled
Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology:
- Detecting Diabetic Retinopathy using CNN
Mechanical Engineering:
- Anti Theft Hand Brake System
The results for the presentation round was announced during the 14th award ceremony of Best Engineering Project Competition 2018 held on 5th May 2018 in the august presence of several eminent personalities from industry.
The project titled “Economical Smart Wheelchair with Healthcare Monitoring” made and presented by Rashi Sharma and Dona Paul bagged 2nd position in the ECE/EEE category in the competition.
The competition was a good learning experience and great exposure for the students.
