Civil Defence Mock Drill Day 2025
7th May 2025
NSS volunteers of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Khentawas, Farrukhnagar, Gurugram, played a pivotal role in the successful organization of the Civil Defence Mock Drill held on 7th May 2025. Dr. Anupam Dalal, NSS Program Officer conducted the Mock Drill.
The initiative aimed to strengthen emergency preparedness, refine safety protocols, and raise awareness among students and staff about handling crisis situations effectively. The drill simulated a real-life emergency scenario, beginning with warning sirens and evacuations, followed by first aid demonstrations and coordinated response activities.
With discipline and dedication, NSS volunteers ensured smooth evacuations, guided participants to safe assembly points, provided first aid to simulated casualties, and supported communication across different teams.
Their active involvement not only ensured the success of the drill but also highlighted the importance of youth engagement in civil defence and community safety.
The event concluded with a post-drill analysis, offering valuable insights into the strengths and areas for improvement in the college’s response mechanism. By combining preparedness with practical training, the exercise created a sense of responsibility and confidence among the participants.
The Civil Defence Mock Drill truly reflected the spirit of NSS — selfless service, teamwork, and commitment to building a safer and more resilient community.
