The project "IoT Based Health Monitoring System" by students Shubham Rauthan(17777) and Shivani Rao (17776) was selected for presentation and demonstration during the Motorola Scholar Award Program 2016 - 17 organized by the Foundation for Advancement of Education and Research (FAER) on 22nd - 23rd June 2017. They were among the top 27 teams in the competition all over India and received project grant of Rs. 5000 for the same.

Microsoft India organized the Fifteenth edition of the Global competition - Imagine Cup at New Delhi on 24th April 2017, bringing 30 finalists teams together from all over India among which 9 teams were from Dronacharya College of Engineering.

The Project "Healthcare Monitoring System using Internet of Things" won 1st prize in ECE/EEE Category of "The Young Entrepreneurs Panel" project competition organized by Faridabad Industries Association (FIA) on 22nd April 2017 at FIA Headquarters, Faridabad.

The team Detect & Direct of ECE Department students won Third Prize & Cash award of Rs 50,000/- in Smart India Hackathon 2017, an MHRD Initiative to Promote innovation In India under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region on 1st - 2nd Apil 2017. http://i4c.co.in/winnersList.htm

The project Air Pollution Control Plant by team "Mind Bloggers" from Electronics & Computer Engineering Dept. was selected for the Grand finale of Smart India Hackathon-2017 held on 1 & 2 April 2017 at Sri Krishna College of Engineering, Coimbatore under the Ministry category Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change (MoEFCC).

Project titled "Smart RF Speed Controller" of Anikete Bajaj (17511), Dhruv Pratap Singh (17523) and Charandeep Singh (17519), students of Information Technology Department won JURY CHOICE AWARD with a cash price of Rs 2000/- in Innoskill 2017 a technical fest organized by MRIU, Faridabad on 3rd and 4th April 2017.

Four students, Abhimanyu Kumar (17002), Srishti Syal (17027), Arushi Anand (17025), Mrigank Suryavanshi (17181) from CSE Department won second position in project competion organized by SAE India Student Chapter of DCE during SAE National Student Convention (NSC 2017) held on 30th March 2017.

Four students, Abhimanyu Kumar (17002), Srishti Syal (17027), Priyanka Mogha (17106), Mrigank Suryavanshi (17181) from CSE won first position in project competition "Young Scientist" organised by IIT Ropar on 23rd March 2017.

Combined team of ECE (11 students) and ME (3 students) won 5th postion in Ultra Golfkart Competition organized by MMU, Mulana on 15th - 18th March 2017.

A team consisting of Sakshi Sangwan (17124), Sakshi Mittal (17123), Sudiksha Datta (17155), and Shubham Bansal (17136) of Department of Computer Science & Engineering won second prize in NES innovations Awards 2017 held on 2nd March 2017 for the project titled Electricity Saver and received cash prize of Rs 30,000/-.

Project Titled "Advance Medicine Dispensary" of Shubham Rauthan (17777)ECS Department student selected in Top Ten Projects of India by Space kidz "i4India 2017" at Russian Centre for Science and Culture, Chennai on 2nd and 3rd February 2017.

A team consisting of Abhimanyu (17002), Arushi Anand (17025), Srishti Syal (17027), Mrigank (17181) of Department of Computer Science & Engineering grabbed the second prize in the Project Competition organised by CSI Student Branch, DCE, Gurgaon on 18th February 2017 for the project titled Server Automation and received the trophy and certificates.

Project titled Digital Bank Locker System of Nishant Kumar (17096), Lokesh Pandey (17074) & Shubham Kumar (17139) students of CSE Department won the title of Best Project in Computer Science & Engineering and also received cash prize of Rs 5000/- at SPEED - 2017 organised by G.D.Goenka on 17th February 2017.

Project titled Digital Bank Locker System of Nishant Kumar (17096), Lokesh Pandey (17074) & Shubham Kumar (17139) students of CSE Department won the Consolation Prize in the category of Computer Science & Engineering and received the Certificate of Achievement at Srishti - 2017, Kerala on 14th February 2017.

Jyotika (17061), Rajat (17113), Priya (17103), Pratibha (17101), Rimi Nesha (17115) Students of CSE Department won 2nd Position for developing an Android application titled Space Survivor and received a cash prize of Rs 7500/- in India@75 Hackathon organised by CII on 4th February 2017.

Project Titled "Advanced Health Care Monitoring System" of Akansha (16762) won Best Innovation Award in the competition along with a cash prize of Rs 4000/- in Innovation Festival organised at National Science Centre, New Delhi from 20th to 23rd January, 2017.

Project titled "PLASTIC BRICK MADE UP OF PLASTIC WASTE" of Amandeep (16813) & Deepak Kaushik (16814) won first prize in Project Exhibition 'AAYAM' organised by DPGITM, Gurgaon on 21st & 22nd October 2016.

The Project titled "Smart Farming System" of Shweta Saini (16773) has been selected as Best B.Tech Project by ISTE-BBSBEC National Award 2016 in Electrical & Electronics Category and awarded the award by ISTE during 19th ISTE National Students Convention held on 15th - 16th October, 2016. The award consists Cash Prize of Rs. 3000, Medallion and Citation.

Two Projects of IT and CSIT Department students named as Astha Arora (16908), Ankit Dalal (16898), Alpana Gupta (16896) and Anupam Lata (16902) selected in Top 10 Most Popular Entries World Wide in Create the Future Design Contest which was launched by the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs magazine on 26 September 2016.

Vinay Kumar (16559) Student of IT VII Semester secured 388 rank in CCENT Netriders Competition held on 15th September, 2016 organized by Cisco Networking Academy.

Four students: Akansha Marwah (16762), Amit Saini (16763), Jyoti (16767) and Shweta Saini (16773) were offered Summer Internship by The Consortium for Innovation (COIN), New Delhi in collaboration with IIT Delhi during the event organised on 26 August 2016. The students made the prototype for their project and they received stipend amount of Rs. 20000 each.

Project titled "Smart Farming System" of Shweta Saini (16773) won Employer's Choice Award in the "Innovation Jockey Season 5" powered by Yahoo organized by Accenture on 8 August 2016 and received gift vouchers worth Rs.7,000 and selected in Recruitment process conducted by Accenture during the Innovation Jockeys 5.

Research Internship Award (2016 - 2017)

Govind Rajput, Final year student has been selected for 6 Months Research Internship at IIT Bombay (Department of Physics) under guidance of Prof. Punit Parmananda between December 2016 and June 2017.
