DCE Library

"These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but minds alive on the shelves." Gilbert Highet

Our Library is not merely a collection of books - it is a space where ideas awaken and imagination takes flight. Echoing Gilbert Highet’s words, each shelf holds “minds alive,” inviting students to explore, question, and dream. The Information Resource Centre (IRC), located on the 3rd floor, is a serene and modern haven—fully air-conditioned, digitally empowered, and designed to inspire. With more than 38,000 books, journals, magazines, newspapers, and educational CDs, the IRC offers knowledge in every form, accessible through a seamless automated system and the OPAC search portal.

Beyond its walls, the IRC connects learners to the world through memberships with the British Council LibraryAmerican Information Resource CenterN-LIST, and DELNET, providing access to global literature, digital databases, and research resources. Subscriptions such as the InfoTrac Engineering Collection and Global Periodicals further enrich academic exploration. Supporting every learner’s journey, the Book Bank offers semester-long access to essential textbooks—making the library not just a resource, but a companion in growth, curiosity, and innovation.
