प्रत्यय 2.0 – Abstract Writing Competition

DCE ACM Student Chapter successfully organized “प्रत्यय2.0 – Abstract Writing Competition” on 31st January 2026 at Dronacharya College of Engineering (DCE), Gurugram. The event was conceptualized to foster research aptitude, analytical thinking, and academic writing skills among students by providing a structured platform to present innovative and problem-oriented research ideas. The competition reflected the institution’s commitment to promoting a strong research culture and intellectual curiosity among students.
The event was conducted under the able guidance and academic leadership of Dr. Ritu Pahwa (CSE AIML). Their encouragement and active involvement played a significant role in the smooth execution of the event and in motivating students to engage in research-focused academic activities.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 80 students across various disciplines. Participants were invited to submit concise and original abstracts addressing contemporary challenges in diverse domains such as agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation, surveillance systems, and societal applications. The evaluation focused on clarity of thought, originality, logical structure, analytical reasoning, and real-world relevance. The high quality of submissions highlighted the students’ ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical problem-solving approaches.
The abstracts were evaluated by distinguished alumni judges, Mr. Ishank Gera, Software Developer at Yen Digital Pvt. Ltd., and Ms. Rishita Singh, Software Engineer I at American Express. Their industry experience ensured a fair, unbiased, and application-oriented assessment process. The judges also shared valuable insights with the participants, helping bridge the gap between academic research and industry expectations.
During the felicitation ceremony, winners and top-performing participants were formally recognized in the presence of faculty members and organizers. The Top 20 abstracts were shortlisted for expert mentoring and panel evaluation, providing students with opportunities to further refine their research ideas. Winners were awarded Free ACM Memberships, while finalists and participants received certificates in recognition of their academic excellence and active participation by Prof. Ashima Mehta (Vice Principal), Dr. Ritu Pahwa (Prof., CSE AIML) and Prof. Monika Rani (Prof., ECE)
Overall, प्रत्यज्ञ 2.0 concluded as a resounding success, reinforcing the role of the DCE ACM Student Chapter in promoting research, innovation, and professional development among students. The event encouraged collaborative learning, critical thinking, and scholarly engagement, leaving a lasting academic impact and setting a strong foundation for future research-oriented initiatives at the institution.
