Seven- Day NSS Special Camp on theme “Role of Youth in Making Digital India

A Seven - Day NSS special Camp on the theme “Role of Youth in Making Digital India” was organized from 16th -22nd February 2017 by Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Ranbir Gulia, NSS Coordinator, M.D.U. Rohtak.  The Guest of Honour on the occasion was Mr. Yogesh Dutt Sharma, Branch Manager, Syndicate Bank, Wazirpur, Gurgaon and Mr. M.L Meena, Marketing officer, Syndicate Bank, Wazirpur, Gurgaon. The NSS camp was a held with the objective of making the students realize their social responsibilities.

National Integration Camp (NIC) at Seven Star International School Bani, Distt. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh

Himanshu Bahukhandi (Roll No: 17384), NSS Student Coordinator, DCE, Gurgaon attended the National Integration Camp (NIC) organized at Seven Star International School, Bani Distt. Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh from 31st March to 6th April 2017; wherein 230 NSS volunteers and 20 NSS program officers from 16 states participated. The camp was organized to promote National Unity. Himanshu Bahukhandi, representing the College, was a part of Haryana team under the guidance of NSS program officer Dr. Ramesh Dhariwal.

NPTEL(National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) IIT, Madras Online certification courses

NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) IIT, Madras Online certification courses. Total number of 329 students of the college got the scholarship from NPTEL to appear the examination held in the month of April, 2017. Out of this 64 students from Applied Sciences & Humanities Department appeared and qualified in the online test on “Speaking Effectively”.

Science Quiz contest under Haryana State Council For Science & Technology ( HSCST) was organized by the G. C. Sec. - 14 Gurgaon, on 30th August 2017. 6 students of APS Department participated in the Quiz. One team of APS Department placed fourth in the quiz.

One-day Virtual Lab workshop was organized on 2nd November 2017. Students of APS Department attended the workshop. Mr. Ashish Mudgil, Mr. Mohak Kaushik and Ms. Divya Priya, Field Engineer, IIT Delhi V-Lab were the resource persons for the workshop.

International Volunteer Day at India Habitat Centre, Delhi

A visit to India Habitat Centre, Delhi was organized on 5th December 2017 to attend International Volunteer Day. Mrs. Pooja Jain and Mr. Dharamvir along with 42 students visited the India Habitat Centre.
