Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2026)
21st March 2026
Dronacharya College of Engineering hosted the Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts (CCQC 2026) on 21st March 2026 in association with the QCFI Delhi Chapter. The event focused on promoting key quality concepts such as Total Quality Management (TQM), process improvement, and waste reduction, providing a platform for knowledge sharing between academia and industry.
The primary objectives of the convention were to provide exposure to industrial case studies, enhance understanding of quality practices, facilitate industry interaction, and encourage quality improvement initiatives among participants.
The event witnessed participation from over 200 industry professionals representing leading organizations such as Hero, Honda, JCB, Lumax, Tata Power, GAIL, BEL, NTPC, Maruti Suzuki, and Honda Cars India Ltd. A total of 30 teams comprising more than 150 participants actively contributed to the convention.
The convention was structured into three parallel panels for case study presentations, where teams showcased their innovative ideas before a panel of expert jury members. Based on evaluation, awards in gold, silver, and bronze categories were presented to the best-performing teams.
An expert talk was delivered by Mr. Renu Sharma, Senior Manager at Lumina, at 12:30 PM in the seminar hall for students of Mechanical, Robotics, and Automation Engineering. The session focused on the fundamentals of TQM, highlighting continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and process optimization. The speaker emphasized the practical application of quality principles in industrial environments to enhance productivity and minimize defects. Students gained valuable insights into modern engineering practices, implementation of TQM tools, and industry expectations, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.
The event also featured cultural programs, including Saraswati Vandana and a folk-dance performance, during the inaugural and closing ceremonies, adding vibrancy to the occasion.
Overall, CCQC 2026 provided participants with practical exposure to industry practices, strengthened industry-academia collaboration, and increased awareness of career opportunities in quality management. The event concluded successfully with appreciation for the support extended by QCFI Delhi Chapter, industry participants, faculty members, and students.
