Clearance of Round 1 In Netriders - Asia Pacific CCENT

Ten students from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon has cleared the 1st round in Netriders- Asia Pacific CCNET. The competition was based on networking and IT skills. There was an online theory exam followed by another one with questions based on packet tracer.

Microsoft Student Partners - 2017

Eight students have been selected as Microsoft Student Program (MSP) that provides a wonderful opportunity to act as a bridge between Microsoft and their universities. The selection was based on academic performance, extracurricular performance, and creativity. The MSP application is a drive initiative around social impact involving students from different local region campuses.

NTPC Electron Quiz Competition - 2017

Four students (Himanshu Sharma -19202, Roshan Jha- 19793, Vishal Singh Chauhan -18249 and Prabhat Kumar Singh -18229) from ECE Department attended the NTPC Electron Quiz Competition held on 12th August 2017 at NTPC, Noida Sec-16. The students competed against 80 teams from various well renowned and reputed colleges.

Science Quiz Contest

Mayank Nanda , Ashish Sahu and Rahul Thakur students placed 4th in Science Quiz contest under Haryana State Council For Science & Technology ( HSCST) was organized by the G. C. Sec. - 14 Gurgaon, on 30th August 2017.

SELECTION IN "MICROSOFT PATENT PROGRAM"

On August 28, 2017, two students V. Sai Anila (18562), Tamanna Sood (18557) of Information Technology Department got selected in Microsoft Patent Program (MPP) for their project "ROUTE FINDER AND COMMUNICATOR FOR BLIND, DEAF AND DUMB". They are one of the four teams selected worldwide by Microsoft.

Poster Presentation - INSPIRE 2017

ISTE Student Chapter of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a Project Exhibition and Poster Presentation- INSPIRE -2017 on 1st September 2017. In Poster Presentation competition Akshay Yadav (19842), Harshit Chaudhary (19861) and Pranshu (19873) of III sem CSIT Department secured Ist position for the topic "Route Narrator for Blind Person" under the category of Technology for Social Impact.

CSI Young IT Professional Awards 2017

Ashutosh Kumar (20877) student of M.Tech, Information Technology department won 1st price along with cash price of 5000 Rs. and a trophy at regional round of YITP Award in CSI Young IT Professional Awards 2017 held at Christian Degree College, Lucknow on 24th September 2017.

Prizes won at BITS Pilani in National MSP Summit 2017

VERTIKA of CSE Department got prizes in two categories : Poster Making- amongst top 5 out of 55 posters and Most popular post on Facebook organized at National Microsoft Student Partner (MSP) Summit held in BITS Pilani from 28th – 30th September 2017.

NPTEL certification course on Programming in C++

Gopi Krishna Menon of CSE Department has successfully completed the NPTEL certification course in the duration of July-September 2017 for Programming in C++ course with a consolidated score of 85 % and got Elite Certificate from IIT Madras.

Capgemini Tech Challenge

Ujjwal Chaudhary (17940) of CSIT 7th Semester selected as one of the finalists of Capgemini Tech Challenge in Data Science Challenge. Vipin Sharma (18183), of CSE 5th Semester received the badges for Capgemini Tech Challenge and scored 80% in both of the levels. Tech Challenge is an array of challenges to match your skill set across multiple levels and provide a large rush of adrenalin.

Rank in "IEEE Xtreme 11.0"

Ujjwal Choudhary (17940) from CSIT branch participated in IEEEXtreme11.0 which is a global challenge of IEEE Student members and performed exceptionally well in this 24 hours programming challenge and attained 280 Rank in the international level competition. There were in total 3350 teams registered that collectively made 106970 submissions towards the competition.

Drishti online contest

10 students Shubham Rauthan (17777) , Abhishek (18762) , Kajal (18773), Kashish (18775), lakshay (18778), Preeti (18782), Sahil (18785), Shashi (18787), Mohit Yadav (19721) and Vikas Upadhaya (19722) from ECS Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon qualified the Drishti Online contest held on 13th and 29th November 2017.

Rotary In-Tech 2018

Chirag Aghi (18042) and Divyansh Chauhan (18056) students of VI Semester CSE Department participated in grand finale of Rotary In-tech Olympiad 2018 held on 17th February 2018 at College of Engineering Pune (COEP) in collaboration with the Rotary Club and got the First Prize in the Competition and was awarded with total cash prize of Rs 30,000 along with the medal and certificates.
