Maharshi Dayanand University (M.D. University) Rohtak, Haryana, India was established in 1976 with the objective of promoting inter-disciplinary higher education and research , is making rapid progress to emerge as a leading educational institution of the nation. University became an affiliating University in November 1978. The University secured the recognition of University Grants Commission – the higher education regulatory body of India - for central Govt. grants in March, 1979.
