American Council

College library is an institutional member of American Information Resource Centre.

The American Libraries in India provide information about the United States, its people, and its policies in support of the American Embassy mission to promote mutual understanding, culture and information exchange between the United States and India.

The four Libraries in India, located in Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai, and New Delhi offer a range of resources, programs and services to provide accurate and up-to-date information on contemporary American politics and society, international relations, U.S. economy and global issues. Library serves people from all walks of life including students, teachers, researchers, government officials, politicians, media representatives, and business professionals.

Library collections consist of multidisciplinary American books, journals, reference materials, U.S. government publications, and think tank reports. In four Libraries total collection of about 82,721 books, 586 print periodicals with over a 10,000 journals in electronic format, 2,425 videocassettes, and subscriptions to several leading American newspapers. Library resources range from general reference and circulation collections to specialized collections of business management materials, American studies. In addition to print materials, all the four Libraries provide access to information in several electronic formats: CD-ROMs and online databases.

British Council

College library is an institutional member of British Council Division Library.

Whether you are interested in the arts or culture, English as a language, or literature and fiction, the social sciences or history, our collection of books covers a wide spectrum of the written word.

For the professional, British Council Library also offers books on Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, Management, Medicine and Science and Technology.

Apart from the finest collection of books, the library has educational videos, home videos, periodicals and newspapers from the UK.

Library offers a combination of online and offline products designed to provide with a holistic and comprehensive information service for r recreational, professional, or reference needs.

DELNET Loan and Document Delivery Services

DELNET offers inter-Library loan & Document Delivery Services to its Member Libraries. ILL requests can be registered online for the books available in the Union Catalogue of member libraries. For the resources not available in the union catalogues and journal articles, requests can be sent to DELNET through E-mail. The services are quite popular among the member-libraries. Users can make a request for the book on interlibrary loan if the book is not available in the library.

N-LIST

The college library subscribed NLIST Programme (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for scholarly content): extended access to e-resources to colleges in India for library users. These resources are accessible through NLIST website

N-LIST: Four Components

The project has four distinct components, i.e. i) to subscribe and provide access to selected e-ShodhSindhu e-resources to technical institutions (IITs, IISc, IISERs and NITs) and monitor its usage; ii) to subscribe and provide access to selected INDEST e-resources to selected universities and monitor its usage; iii) to subscribe and provide access of selected e-resources to Govt./ Govt.-aided colleges and monitor its usage; and iv) to act as a Monitoring Agency for colleges and evaluate, promote, impart training and monitor all activities involved in the process of providing effective and efficient access to e-resources to colleges.

The INDEST and UGC-INFONET are jointly responsible for activity listed at i) and ii) above. The INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhi nagar is responsible for activities listed at iii) and iv) above. The INFLIBNET Centre is also responsible for developing and deploying appropriate software tools and techniques for authenticating authorized users.
