27th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Mathematics, Statistics
and Computational Techniques (IMSCT 2018 - FIM XXVII)
2nd - 4th November 2018
Dr. Jyoti Anand, Assistant Professor APS Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurugram attended 27th International Conference of Forum for Interdisciplinary Mathematics (FIM) in conjunction with Third Convention of IARS on "Interdisciplinary Mathematics, Statistics and Computational Techniques (IMSCT 2018 - FIM XXVII)"conducted by Department of Statistics, University of Jammu from 2nd - 4th, November 2018.
2nd November 2018:
The first day started with inauguration ceremony by Guest of Honor Professor Junzo Watada, Universitiy Teknologi PETRONAS, Seri Iskandar, Perak Malaysia; Prof. Manoj K. Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu; Prof. Keshav Sharma, Dean Academic Affair . Prof. Pawan Kumar, Head, Department of Statistics, Convener of the conference welcomed all the members of organizing committee, delegates and scholars for participating in the international conference.
After inaugural function the session started with invited talk given by guest of honor on the topic of "A Hybrid Neural Network Approach for solving Bi-Level Quadratic Programming Problem". Next Lecture was on the topic "Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning for Cryptanalysis of Symmetric Ciphers" by Prof. Shri Kant, Research and Technology Development Centre, Former Coordinator and Director, DRDO Greater Noida.
Next all research scholars' presented their research papers in plenary session.Dr. Jyoti Anand presented her paper entitled "Comparative Study between Two Reliability Models with Priority to S/W Up-Gradation over H/W Repair under Different Disciplines". In her paper two identical units - one is operative and the other is kept as spare in cold standby. Each unit has h/w and s/w components which may have independent complete failure from the normal mode. There is a single server who visits the system immediately to do the repair activities whenever needed. Comparative study between two models was also discussed under different discipline.
3rd November 2018:

Next Prof. Kaplan K. Mahajan, Department of Statistics, Panjab University, Chandigarh gave lecture on the "Some Multi Sample Non-Parametric Tests for various Orderings Big Data and High-Dimensional Data Analysis". After the lecture other research scholar also presented their research paper.
4th November 2018
Last day started with the invited talk by Professor S.C Malik, Department of Statistics, M.D. University, Rohtak on topic "Reliability Analysis of a Non-Series-Parallel System with Maximum Flow of Information and Weibull Failure Laws" after that remaining research scholar presented their research work.
The International Conference acted as a vital tool of communicating valuable information and person to person interaction for the development of knowledge in the field of Statistics and related areas.
